Musme 2008: 2th International Symposium on Multybody Systems and Mechatronics
8 - 12 April 2 0 0 8: San Juan, Argentine
Modern systems can be considered as integrated systems that can be properly studied, designed, and operated by using Mechatronics viewpoints, but even considering the multibody architecture. Indeed, multibody system kinematics and dynamics can be thought as fundamental disciplines for Mechatronics approaches in designing and operating modern systems. The aim of The International Symposium on Multibody Systems and Mechatronics - MuSMe is to have a specific international conference which facilitates a meeting with academic and industrial experts, who are interested on Multibody Systems and Mechatronics, participating in technical papers presentations, plenary lectures and informal conversations in order to share experiences and to discuss results of investigations. The single-session format is adopted for the oral presentations of the papers, enabling the exchange of knowledges.

ROMANSY 2004: 15th CISM-IFToMM Symposium on Robot Design, Dynamics and Control
June 14 - 18, 2004, Montreal Canada
The 15th CISM-IFToMM Symposium on Robotics is a continuation of an old tradition. The First CISM-IFToMM Symposium on Theory and Practice of Robots and Manipulators was held shortly after the founding of IFToMM (September 27, 1969), on Sept. 5-8, 1973, in Udine, Italy. The first ROMANSY, or Ro.Man.Sy., as the Symposium used to be referred to, marks a long-lasting partnership between two international entities, CISM, the Centre international des sciences mécaniques and IFToMM, the International Federation for the Promotion of Mechanism and Machine Science.
ROMANSY takes place every even-numbered year. The anomaly incurred in the first ROMANSY was corrected in the second ROMANSY, which was held in 1976 in a resort near Warsaw. With the sole exception of the 12th ROMANSY, all have been held, alternately, in Udine, Italy, the CISM headquarters, and in a Polish venue. The 12th ROMANSY took place in Paris. All past 14 symposia included a limited number of papers, mostly drawn by invitation, with the purpose of avoiding multiple sessions. With the 15th ROMANSY, we are keeping the tradition of the limited number of papers, 40, to allow for a close interaction during the presentations, but we are now making the Symposium more open.
ROMANSY has its own character, which we want to preserve: The 15th ROMANSY encourages papers providing a vision of the evolution of the robotics disciplines and signaling new directions in which these disciplines are foreseen to develop. Since ROMANSY has only one track, which all participants attend, the committee encourages papers that are of a broad interest. The venue being the Canadian Space Agency, papers related to space robotic systems are encouraged. In particular, papers related to Mars exploration, or to on-orbit servicing and assembly, will be most welcome. The Call for Papers targets researchers and R&D engineers and scientists from academia, industry, and government agencies.
